Terms of Service

These terms are the deal between you and Samro Studios Inc. (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) when you use EZ Macros — the app and website that turn recipes you find online into clean, macro-tracked recipe cards. Using EZ Macros means you accept them.

Your account

You need an account to use EZ Macros. Keep your credentials to yourself, tell us if something looks compromised, and be at least 13 years old. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.

Your content stays yours

The recipes, photos, comments, and ratings you add belong to you. You give us the licence we need to host, process, display, and back them up so the product can work — including showing recipes you contribute to the community library to other users, with your profile attached. That licence ends for content you delete, except residual copies in backups and content other users already saved to their own collections while it was shared. If you delete your account, recipes you contributed to the community library remain there de-identified (your name removed, source link kept), as described in the privacy policy — email us to have them removed entirely.

Play fair

Don’t use EZ Macros to post anything unlawful, hateful, or spammy; don’t harass people; don’t scrape, reverse-engineer, overload, or resell the service; don’t submit content you have no right to share. We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules — we’d rather not, so don’t make it necessary.

Macros are estimates — not medical advice

EZ Macros uses AI to read recipes and estimate calories, protein, carbs, and fat. Estimates can be wrong: ingredient amounts get misread, databases have gaps, portions vary. EZ Macros is not a medical device and provides no medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. If your nutrition decisions have health stakes — allergies, diabetes, a medically supervised diet — verify the numbers yourself and talk to a professional.

The Founding 100

The first 100 accounts to reach the activity threshold shown in the app get lifetime free access to EZ Macros’ paid features as they exist and evolve, tied to that account, non-transferable. Seats obtained by gaming the threshold (fake content, duplicate accounts) can be revoked — that protects the 100 real ones.

The service, as is

We work hard to keep EZ Macros fast, accurate, and available, but it’s provided “as is” — we can’t promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted, and features may change as the product grows. To the extent the law allows, Samro Studios Inc.’s total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the last 12 months and $50 CAD. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer-protection law gives you and that can’t be waived — in Quebec, that includes the Consumer Protection Act.

Ending things

You can stop using EZ Macros and ask us to delete your account at any time (see the privacy policy for how). We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, with notice unless the violation makes that unreasonable.

The legal frame

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If we update these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Questions? support@ezmacros.app.
